Chief Executive Officer Shaperon
Professor Seung-Yong Seong is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Seoul National University College of Medicine and a leading immunologist known for his seminal work on the DAMPs theory. He is the Founder and CEO of Shaperon Inc., where he has designed proprietary GPCR19-based immunomodulatory platforms, as well as the oncology-focused NanoMab platform for nanobody therapies. With experience across academia, government R&D policy, and industry, he oversees translational development from discovery through clinical trials, bridging fundamental immunology and next-generation therapeutic modalities.
Seminars
- Defining the medical and technical unmet needs in bispecific antibodies and ADCs
- Addressing the unmet needs through NanoMab (nanobody-based) solutions
- Outlining the potential market impact and future implications of NanoMab-enabled therapeutics
- Exploring how conventional ADCs suffer from fixed architectures, limiting tumor selectivity and pharmacokinetic control, resulting in off-target toxicity
- Outlining bispecific nanobody-drug conjugates targeting an IO receptor, combined with HSA and a chemotherapeutic, enable simultaneous immune checkpoint engagement and tumor killing
- Explaining how this bispecific design overcomes resistance and systemic toxicity, enhancing drug exposure, pharmacokinetic stability, and safety
